Since being elevated to the Australian Test and One Day side Mike has been a pillar of the team.

Skilled off the front and back foot, he currently averages over 56 in Tests and 55 in ODIs. Mike has also been ranked the number 1 ODI and Test batsman in the official ICC rankings.

Mike has the mantle for the fastest player to 1000 Test runs having taken only 166 days to rub out the of England’s Andrew Strauss and in 2006 was the ICC ODI Player of the Year.

His calm outlook, strong team qualities and ability to perform outstandingly in tough situations has already seen him captain the One Day side.

He was part of Australia's 2007 ICI world 20's squad. Mike also plays for the India Premier League team the Chennai Super Kings, and was subsequently the second ever batsman to score a Twenty20 century in the league.

Mike is excited to be part of the Easy Learning Keyboard team. As a qualified teacher Mike is always interested in helping people (and especially children) with their education.  Mike took one look at the Easy Learn layout and immediately saw the benefits that the logical and instinctive layout will have on increasing a child's ability to use a computer, while reinforcing the alphabet at the same time.
